2. Core Responsibilities

Scrum Master

  • Establishes Scrum as defined in the Guide.
  • Accountable for the Scrum Team's effectiveness.
  • Removes impediments and coaches the organization.

Product Owner

  • Accountable for maximizing product value.
  • Solely responsible for Backlog management.
  • Must be one person, not a committee.

Developers

  • Committed to creating any aspect of a usable Increment.
  • Hold each other accountable as professionals.
  • Always own the Sprint Backlog and Plan.

4. PSM / PSPO Essentials

Q: Who can cancel a Sprint?
A: Only the Product Owner if the Goal becomes obsolete.
Q: Who decides how work is done?
A: The Developers (they are self-managing).
Q: When is a Sprint over?
A: When the Time-box expires (it never ends early).
